PTE™ Multidisciplinary Optimization Framework
Early Detection • Targeted Optimization • Surgical Readiness

The PTE™ Multidisciplinary Optimization Framework is a structured, preoperative risk detection and optimization model designed to identify modifiable perioperative risk earlier and coordinate targeted optimization using telehealth, remote physiologic data, and consultative specialty support. The framework emphasizes early evaluation, proactive prehabilitation, and data-informed readiness to improve surgical outcomes and reduce day-of-surgery disruptions.
Framework Overview
The PTE™ Multidisciplinary Optimization Framework is built on a tiered methodology that integrates clinical evaluation, physiologic signal detection, and coordinated optimization pathways prior to surgical stress. The framework is designed to support surgeons, anesthesia teams, and patients by delivering a clear, readiness-focused assessment while preserving appropriate specialty consultation boundaries.

Core Optimization Domains
The framework incorporates structured assessment and optimization across the following domains:
-
Cardiometabolic Risk Identification
Early identification of cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors relevant to perioperative outcomes. -
Pulmonary & Sleep Risk Screening
Structured screening for sleep-disordered breathing and pulmonary risk impacting anesthesia and postoperative recovery. -
Functional Status & Prehabilitation
Assessment of baseline functional capacity with targeted prehabilitation strategies to improve physiologic reserve. -
Nutrition & Glycemic Readiness
Optimization of nutritional status and glucose control to support healing and reduce perioperative complications. -
Remote Physiologic Data Integration
Incorporation of home-based physiologic data to support early risk detection and optimization planning. -
Consultative Specialty Coordination
Targeted coordination with cardiology, pulmonology/sleep medicine, endocrinology, physical therapy, and nutrition specialists as clinically indicated.
What This Framework Is — and Is Not
The PTE™ Multidisciplinary Optimization Framework is designed to support perioperative risk identification and optimization planning. It does not replace specialty diagnosis, imaging interpretation, or longitudinal disease management. Specialty consultations remain independently provided and consultative in nature.
